This Creative Application was developed for my Bachelor thesis and was awarded honour distinction (10/10). The project aimed to explore a user-oriented interactive system based on the user position tracked with Kinect, and different visualisations features, provided by audiovisual processing. The application was designed to explore digital arts with an interactive installation.
In the application, the user controls, with their position, the location of a particle system in the screen. The user noise modulates the particle system size, and its color represents the color the user is wearing. In a multi-user scenario, both particle systems react to each other depending on their distance in 4 different interaction modes exploring interpersonal distance.
For the dissertation, only the system was built, and user testing happened afterward.
